industrial design

This Bachelor degree course gives students the necessary design basics in all fields where the design of products, in the widest sense of the term, may find an application today. The teaching of creative reflection is intended not only to develop different faculties involved in providing traditional answers to multiple problems, but also in learning to reconsider and question our various lifestyles and habits.

Students are thus encouraged to design products that are feasible in the short or longer term, ranging from small-scale production to industrial mass production, incorporating different technologies and a wide variety of materials in accordance with a rigorous but freely chosen methodology.

Teachers and contributors of international renown in the world of industrial design supervise students and lead them to discover the multiple facets of the profession, encouraging them to build and assert their own personality as the course develops.

The Department is present at international design events and exhibitions and also takes part in public competitions. In addition, several projects carried out in direct partnership with industry, for example in the fields of furniture, products and accessories, place students in a context closely resembling the situation that will confront them after their graduation.
