Language is in constant motion, shaped by its users and their surroundings. The 'English Dictionary of Neologisms 2011' presents new words compiled during the past year. With entries structured as a narrative, the reader discovers current trends, events, and phenomena which mirror today’s society. Each word is illustrated and shows a personal stance towards its meaning and present relevance.
'I have been interested in the representation of words linked to the meaning they hold. This relationship has been examined through various methods such as typography, illustration and photography. Possibilities and boundaries have been discovered which challenged me to work out solutions that explain – and comment on – the words and their use in their corresponding context.'
