ECAL Milano 2012: "Too Cool For School"
17–22.04.2012
Spazio Orso 16, Milan

“Too Cool For School” presents projects in Industrial and Product Design, Photography, Graphic Design and Media & Interaction Design produced by students on Bachelor and Master programmes.

“The Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan has become a flagship event not only for product design but also in fields such as photography, graphic design and interactive design. In the professional world, as at the ECAL, these different disciplines cross paths and give rise to innovative and unexpected creations! Such transdisciplinarity between different fields has existed for many years at the ECAL and, through this exhibition, we wanted to illustrate the richness and excellence of projects carried out by our students,” explains Alexis Georgacopoulos, Director of the ECAL. As well as elements of Industrial and Product Design normally present in Milan, this year the ECAL is presenting projects in Graphic Design, Typography, Photography, and Media & Interaction Design. Works at Bachelor to Master’s level range from the design of fonts to photographic portraits, interactive installations and the design of objects.
