From the 6th to the 13th September (exhibition opening the 5th September from 7pm to 10pm), as part of the Paris Design Week, the Cognac producer Rémy Martin presents the "Remyxologie" project as part of the exhibition "Future Heritage 2" at B&B Italia.
This collection of objects, for tasting Cognac in a new way, was created by students from the Masters of Advanced Studies in Design for Luxury and Craftsmanship from ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne, following a workshop with Slovakian designer Tomas Kral.
To "update" their image, the Maison Rémy Martin had the idea to submit a creative project to the students of ECAL. The mission: re-juvinate the perception of the Cognac experience. The ten students were able to visit the cellars of the Cognac manufacture during 2 days to soak up the codes of the precious eau de vie. The result? Ten luxurious and innovative objects entitled "Remyxologie" that blend flavours, noble materials and colours.
The scenography, signed by François Delclaux, offers a proud setting to showcase the ten objects created by the students from ECAL. From the glass straw with integrated aromatic diffuser to the carafe-shaker in copper and crystal, and the oak tray with different in-built compartments, the proposed concepts highlight the value in the preparation of a cocktail, at home or in a bar, whilst re-inventing the gestures and ingredients associated with this ritual.
