With the support of Pro Helvetia, ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne participates in the 10th anniversary of swissnex Singapore which will be celebrated the 11th of June 2014. A cette occasion, l'ECAL présentera le projet «Computer Orchestra», réalisé par des étudiants en Bachelor Media & Interaction Design. On this occasion, ECAL presents the project "Computer Orchestra" realized by students of the Bachelor Media & interaction Design.
"Computer Orchestra" is an interactive installation that allows the user to conduct a virtual orchestra. Hands’ s Movements are recognized by a camera which allows a group of computers to react by playing sounds and displaying feedback.
This project was created during a workshop given at ECAL by Andreas Gysin on music and networks. The system works with Processing, SimpleOpenNi and Ableton Live.
