in BACHELOR INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
by 2DI, 2CVmid
Teacher(s): Alain Bellet, Chris Kabel
A home full with extraordinary objects for ordinary life. A playful interpretation of the “smart home” concept by ECAL Bachelor Industrial Design and Media & Interaction Design students. Curated by Alain Bellet, Chris Kabel and assisted by Sylvain Aebischer, Mathieu Rivier.
Windblower
Victor Férier, Ludovica Gianoni, Daniele Walker
The Windblower fan operates with your breath and amplifies it. Its mobile nature allows you to blow in whichever direction you choose.
Chiaroscuro
Léa Pereyre, Claire Pondard, Tom Zambaz
Chiaroscuro is a lamp turned on or off by touching its shadow. Test the switch – the thinnest in the world!
Broken Mirror
Guillaume Markwalder, Aurélia Von Allmen
Broken Mirror uses a flexible reflective membrane stretched over a circular structure in your presence. Come closer, the reflection only appears when you are right up front!
Delicious Bells
Caroline Buttet, Louisa Carmona, Margaux De Giovannini, Antonio Quirarte
Delicious Bells is a series of bells to celebrate tastings with pleasant sounds. Taste is closely related to sight and smell, but what of the relationship with sound? Open one and enjoy the experience!Ostinati
Iris Andreadis, Nicolas Nahornyj, Jerôme Rütsche
Ostinati is a family of containers which defy gravity. Looking at them gives you the feeling of floating in orbit, free from earthly constraints.
Il Portinaio
Anne-Sophie Bazard, Tristan Caré, Léonard Golay
Il Portinaio is very helpful automated curtain. As you come near, a hand symbolising a porter comes up to you, leading the way to the rest of the exhibition.
Mr. Time
Léa Pereyre, Claire Pondard, Tom Zambaz
Mr. Time is a clock which thinks it is you and imitates you. Face the clock and the hands will follow your movements. Play with time just for a moment!
Voodoo
Megan Elisabeth Dinius, Timothée Fuchs, Antoine Furstein, Bastien Girschig
Voodoo is a pair of armchairs inviting you to a dynamic and participatory “tête-à-tête”. As with a voodoo doll, the impulses on one chair are reflected on the other – touch your chair to cast a tactile spell on your partner.
Bonnie & Clyde
Romain Cazier, Anna Heck, Leon Laskowski
Bonnie & Clyde refers to objects associated in their daily function. Here is the story of a spoon and a cup of coffee. Deeply connected to the cup, the spoon will follow it across the table, avoiding obstacles in its path.
